No Winner on Halloween, So Powerball’s Jackpot Climbs to $793 Million for Monday

Nobody hit the Powerball jackpot on Halloween night, so Monday’s drawing is now worth an estimated $793 million, according to Powerball. The cash option is $339.9 million.

Saturday’s prize was advertised at $760 million for most of the week. Late ticket sales pushed it to $770 million by drawing time, and still no ticket matched all six numbers.

Saturday’s Winning Numbers

The numbers drawn Saturday, Oct. 31, were 2, 4, 18, 50 and 56. The red Powerball was 20, and the Power Play was 3x.

Three Tickets Still Won Big

Three tickets matched all five white balls and missed only the Powerball.

The one sold in North Carolina had the Power Play, so it’s worth $2 million. The one sold in Georgia is worth $1 million.

The third was sold in the United Kingdom. Powerball went on sale there on July 21, and British players have been playing for the same jackpot as Americans since the July 22 drawing. The smaller prizes work differently, though. The U.K. has its own prize structure below the jackpot, Powerball said when it announced the launch.

Another 36 tickets matched four white balls plus the Powerball. Those pay $50,000, or $150,000 with the Power Play.

When Is the Next Powerball Drawing?

Monday, Nov. 2, at 10:59 p.m. ET.

Nobody has won the Powerball jackpot since Aug. 12, when a ticket sold in Quincy, Illinois, hit for $1.04 billion. Monday will be the 35th drawing since then.

A ticket costs $2. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.

A winner on Monday would choose between the $793 million paid out over time or the $339.9 million cash option, both before taxes.

Mega Millions Is Climbing Too

Mega Millions didn’t have a jackpot winner on Friday either. It was worth $463 million for that drawing. million jackpot and a $203.6 million cash option, according to Mega Millions.

Friday’s numbers were 5, 10, 38, 49 and 68, with a Mega Ball of 17.

Between the two games, there’s about $1.28 billion up for grabs in back-to-back drawings on Monday and Tuesday.
