The Prisoner Wine Company, a St. Helena, California brand that has long predicated their identity on the tension and struggle of craft and technique, is embracing those ideals yet again with their fourth annual Prisoner x Corrections collaboration.

The result of this year’s collab is a limited-edition release of their Syrah-forward red blend, a 2023 vintage from the heart of Napa Valley with a layered aromatic profile that channels “vibrant blue fruit, black olive, bay leaf and cool woodland herbs,” according to the winemaker. The flavor is equally complex, fresh and energetic off the bat and framed by warm spice, vanilla and herbs, while remarkably balanced with bright acidity and airy tannins that give the wine a smooth, seamless finish.

Similar to the three previous limited-edition bottles in the series, a major defining component of the bottle for this year’s edition of The Corrections is its signature label. Featuring art from Omari Booker, a previously incarcerated artist from Nashville whose signature blackbird—a visual representation of his time in prison—is front and center.
