Zendaya Stuns in With One of Halle Berry’s Most Iconic Looks for Halloween

Zendaya went back more than two decades for her Halloween costume, recreating one of Halle Berry’s most memorable red carpet looks from the early 2000s.

The Dune star stepped out in the same vintage Lanvin ensemble Berry wore to the 2000 premiere of X-Men, complete with the tiny printed string bikini top and matching low-rise pants. Zendaya’s longtime stylist, Law Roach, shared photos of the look on Halloween.

And the resemblance is pretty remarkable.

Berry originally wore the yellow, brown and white geometric-print outfit to the New York premiere of X-Men in July 2000. The Fall 2000 Lanvin ensemble featured a triangle bikini top with delicate straps and matching wide-leg trousers, creating one of those unmistakably Y2K celebrity looks that has stuck around long after the decade ended.

Zendaya kept the basic look remarkably faithful, wearing the archival pieces with pointed-toe heels and tinted sunglasses. Her recently debuted pixie haircut also made the resemblance to Berry even stronger.

InStyle was among the outlets to highlight the recreation, noting that Zendaya wore the tiny Lanvin string bikini top and matching pants 26 years after Berry first wore them.

Halle Berry Approves

Berry apparently had no problem seeing her old look brought back for a new generation.

According to Parade, Berry responded to Law Roach’s Instagram post with a series of heart emojis and also shared a side-by-side comparison of herself and Zendaya wearing the look.

The Halloween tribute also makes sense given the connection between the two actresses this year.

Zendaya’s short pixie cut, which she debuted at the 2026 Emmy Awards, had already prompted comparisons to Berry’s iconic hairstyles from the 1990s and early 2000s. Roach previously confirmed that Berry’s look was an inspiration for the haircut.
