Things to do in Singapore this November

November has a way of quietly setting the tone for the rest of the year. The festive rush hasn’t quite begun, but calendars are already filling up, and we’re becoming far more intentional about how we spend our free time. And that means catching a couple of standout experiences before they close, from teamLab’s immersive exhibition to the Toy Story x PEACEMINUSONE pop-up at Clarke Quay, alongside a few new additions worth the trip. Here’s what we’d prioritise in Singapore this week.

  1. 1. Toy Story x PEACEMINUSONE Pop-up (16 October to 11 November)
  2. 2. Singapore Coffee Week (5 to 8 November)
  3. 3. BYD by 1826 Community Pet Fair: The Pet Clubhouse (7 to 9 November)
  4. 4. Singapore Cat Festival (7 to 8 November)
  5. 5. Common Touch Craft Festival (7 to 8 November)
  6. 6. teamLab: Infinite Existence (19 September to 8 November)

G-Dragon’s PEACEMINUSONE is teaming up with Toy Story, and Clarke Quay is where it’s all going down. From 16 October to 11 November, CQ @ Clarke Quay will be hosting a pop-up by homegrown collectables company Mighty Jaxx, packed with more than 100 collectables, fashion and lifestyle pieces, plus a few things you can only get here.

Collectors, take note. Singapore gets exclusive tees, hats and tote bags, and three highly limited art toys: Woody, Buzz Lightyear and a Crystal Buzz. Each is capped at 888 pieces worldwide, and only 100 of each are coming to Singapore. Spend $200 or more and you’ll be entered into a pool for a shot at buying one, so it’s worth planning your haul.

The pop-up will also feature PEACEMINUSONE daisies, Toy Story standees and photo spots around the precinct. Inside, you’ll find a giant daisy, Woody, Buzz and Jessie, a Dream House, human-sized Woody and Buzz figures, a Dream Wall and photobooths for you to snap photos with your friends.

Singapore Coffee Week (5 to 8 November)

Singapore Coffee Week returns to Marina Bay Sands with free entry and around 50 exhibitors, from long-standing local roasters like Suzuki Coffee to crowd favourites such as Baristart Coffee and home-brewing specialists Cowpresso Coffee Roasters. At the exhibition, guests can sample new beans, check out some of the latest brewing gear, and stay to watch teams battle it out at the Singapore Coffee Roasting Team Championship for a spot at next year’s regional competition.

Pawrents, it’s time to bring your furkids for a fun-filled day out. BYD by 1826 is bringing its regular pet social, The Pet Clubhouse, to its Boat Quay outpost for a three-day community fair, running from noon till late each day. Here, you can spoil your furkids and shop from the local pet brands, or opt to join a free matcha workshop and meet other pets at the same time. Entry to the event is free (but we highly recommend that you RSVP beforehand), and the first 20 guests to sign up and show up each day will walk away with a mystery door gift worth $108.

Singapore Cat Festival (7 to 8 November)

The Singapore Cat Festival returns on 7 and  8 November at Singapore EXPO. For one weekend only, the event will see more than 100 exhibitors and brands, offering a plethora of goodies for your furbabies. This year, the event will feature larger-than-life cat inflatables and photo zones for you to snap photos of your cats with, as well as a cat show where you can watch pedigreed and household cats strut their stuff. There will also be a zone where you can meet a few furry friends looking for their forever homes at adoption drives run by local animal welfare groups.

Common Touch Craft Festival (7 to 8 November)

Can’t get enough of your favourite art markets? From 7 to 8 November, Common Touch Craft Festival will be taking over Suntec Hall 401 & 402, and you’ll be able to find a wide selection of arts and crafts from local artisans, designers, artists and illustrators – all under one roof. Besides, it’s also a timely stop for those looking to get a head start on their year-end gifting.

teamLab: Infinite Existence (19 September to 8 November)

teamLab’s latest exhibition blurs the line between reality, history and mythology, and what comes out the other side is something beautiful and a little mysterious. It’s the first time Singapore-based art platform Supper House is hosting the internationally renowned collective, and this solo show is built around eight dynamic works.

The big idea here is “Ultrasubjective Space”, where the boundary between you and the artwork disappears. Here, teamLab lets you wander through each piece on your own terms, so no two people walk away with quite the same experience. You can expect to watch waves and waterfalls ebb and flow, witness the rise and fall of civilisations, and sit quietly with the slow passage of geological time.
