Formula 1 fashion is heading West.
Pacsun returned to Austin for the 2026 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix with its fourth officially licensed collection created around the race. This year, the retailer looked beyond the track for inspiration, combining familiar motorsports graphics with the Western style closely associated with Texas.
The dual-gender assortment includes racing jackets, button-up shirts, fleece pieces, graphic T-shirts and headwear. Washed denim, metallic detailing and vintage-inspired finishes run throughout the collection, giving the pieces a worn-in look that feels suited to both the grandstands and everyday streetwear.
Among the standout pieces is the Pole Position Racing Jacket, which serves as one of the collection’s most direct nods to traditional motorsports apparel. A Western-style button-up and coordinating trucker hat arrive in washed indigo, while several other designs incorporate embroidery, metallic ink and metallic thread.
Pacsun also brought back its Formula 1 cowboy hat after the style reportedly sold out within hours during the previous race weekend. The returning hat was made available exclusively through the retailer’s trackside pop-up in Austin.
“Our partnership with Formula 1 has continued to grow over the past four years because we’ve found new ways to bring the sport into the worlds of fashion and culture that matter to our community,” Pacsun chief merchandising officer Richard Cox said in a statement.
“Austin is always a standout moment for us,” Cox continued. “There’s an energy around the race that extends far beyond the track, and this year we wanted to capture that through a distinctly Texas point of view.”
The release arrives as Formula 1 continues to strengthen its connection with fashion and entertainment. Race weekends have become style events in their own right, with drivers, celebrities and fans increasingly using trackside appearances to showcase personal style. Pacsun’s newest collection leans into that crossover by creating merchandise that does not need to be reserved for race day.
Pacsun and Formula 1 began working together in 2022. Since then, their partnership has expanded through seasonal apparel releases and in-person retail activations aimed at connecting the international sport with younger consumers.
The latest collection was released online and at select Pacsun stores ahead of the United States Grand Prix, held in Austin from Oct. 23 through Oct. 25. Fans attending the race could also shop additional and pop-up-exclusive styles at Pacsun’s trackside store.
Prices range from $35 for T-shirts and hats to $175 for outerwear.
