It now trades above retail on StockX, where asks start around $229 and the three-month average sale sits near $273. GOAT lists it under the Air Max Muscle 95 name.

Nike blacked out the front Air bubble and simplified the color blocking on the Psychic Blue and Mystic Navy upper. Scratch marks, a card-inspired heel graphic and trading card graphics on the tongue tag and outsole tie it to the series.

The sockliner features Joey’s Red-Eyes Black Dragon. Each pair also came with playable Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game cards, the first time Konami partnered with another brand on its TCG cards.

A grayscale ‘Jonouchi’ version, named for Joey’s original Japanese name, released only in Japan.

Is the Yu-Gi-Oh! Air Max 95 Worth It for Non-Fans?

My anime tastes are pretty strict. Attack on Titan, Fist of the North Star, Ninja Scroll, Sakamoto Days and Baki are the only ones I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed.

My son is always trying to get me to take in more. Neither of us has plugged into Yu-Gi-Oh!

Despite the lack of familiarity with the anime, seeing the images of the sneaker in the anime and comparing them to what Nike produced makes this collab all the more impressive.
