Fossil has revved up its motorsports-inspired watch lineup with a high-octane tribute to American automotive royalty: the limited-edition Shelby x Fossil Super Snake Grand Tourer. Designed as the most performance-focused chronograph in Fossil’s Shelby collector series, the timepiece captures the technical precision and track heritage spirit of Shelby American racing.
The chronograph’s high-contrast dial features Carroll Shelby’s signature triple racing stripes, proportioned to mirror the Super Snake’s bold Shadow Black and Satin White livery. The watch incorporates a functional tachymeter bezel and a Japanese center-second chronograph movement—a nod to the historic role wristwatches played as critical timing instruments on the track prior to modern telemetry.
The timepiece collab honors the enduring legacy of Carroll Shelby, the legendary racer and designer who revolutionized American car racing in the 1960s. After winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1959, Shelby forged a reputation for placing massive V8 engines into lightweight chassis, giving birth to the legendary Cobra and high-performance Mustangs.
