System of a Down fans are getting more chances to see the band in California next year. What was originally announced as the band’s only North American concert of 2027 has now expanded into three Rose Bowl shows.
According to Consequence of Sound, System of a Down has added concerts at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl Stadium on June 6 and June 10, following the previously announced June 5 performance.
The additions come after significant demand for the original show, turning what was supposed to be a one-night event into a three-date run.
System of a Down Will Play 3 Rose Bowl Shows
The band’s 2027 Rose Bowl schedule is now:
- June 5, 2027: System of a Down with Pierce the Veil
- June 6, 2027: System of a Down with Pierce the Veil
- June 10, 2027: System of a Down with Gojira
Pierce the Veil will open the first two concerts, while Gojira will join System of a Down for the newly added June 10 performance.
The Rose Bowl concerts are particularly notable because the June 5 show was initially billed as System of a Down’s only North American performance of 2027. Live Nation announced the original concert on Oct. 19, describing it as the band’s first performance at the iconic Pasadena stadium.
Fans Will Have 3 Chances to See System of a Down
The band announced the second Rose Bowl date earlier Friday, Oct. 23, before adding the third show later the same day.
System of a Down’s third performance will feature Gojira, giving fans a different supporting act from the first two nights. According to ThePRP, the band has now turned its previously announced lone U.S. date into a three-show run.
The response isn’t entirely surprising. System of a Down has remained one of the biggest names in heavy music despite maintaining a relatively selective touring schedule. The band also recently marked the 25th anniversary of its landmark album Toxicity with an exhibition in Los Angeles.
The Rose Bowl shows will also mark System of a Down’s first performances in the Los Angeles area since 2022.
When Do System of a Down Rose Bowl Tickets Go on Sale?
Presales for the newly added shows are underway, according to Consequence. General ticket sales for all three Rose Bowl performances begin Monday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m. PT through Ticketmaster.
