WWE Crown Jewel Is Changing Venues Amid Attacks in Saudi Arabia

WWE Crown Jewel 2026 is being moved to a new venue in Saudi Arabia due to security concerns after attacks in the region. The event is still on for November 7, but organizers have not confirmed a new location.

Riyadh Season announced the change on October 28, saying all current ticket holders will be fully refunded. New tickets are expected to be released within 48 hours of the announcement.

Crown Jewel had been scheduled to take place at the temporary Riyadh Season Stadium in King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). Organizers have not said if the event will be moved to another city in Saudi Arabia or taken out of the country, but PWInsider.com reports that it is expected to stay in Riyadh.

WWE has held shows in several other venues in the Saudi capital, including Mohammed Abdo Arena, Kingdom Arena and King Fahd Sports City Stadium. The company has not released any further details about the move.

Saudi Arabia’s Security Situation Has Affected Major Events

The venue change comes as attacks in Saudi Arabia have been attributed to Iran-aligned Houthi forces operating from neighboring Yemen. The latest strikes are said to have targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, raising concerns for the security of the city that is set to host the Crown Jewel.

The situation has also prompted the U.S. State Department to issue a travel warning for Saudi Arabia, advising Americans to reconsider travel plans. On Oct. 21, the department ordered non-emergency U.S. government employees and their families to leave the country.

Other sporting events have been impacted. Organizational and logistical issues have forced the Six Kings Slam tennis tournament to be postponed to Dec. 27-30. Originally set for October, the tournament is to feature Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.

TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of WWE, has been monitoring the situation. Fox News on October 22 reported that CEO Ari Emanuel said the company had contingency plans and was ready to look at alternative locations if needed.

Crown Jewel is still scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, but a new location has not been announced yet. Riyadh will also be the host of WrestleMania 43 in April 2027, but WWE has not announced an official venue or date for that event yet.
