As K-pop superstar Lisa debuts her track “Tarantino” in a PS5 commercial, Quentin Tarantino reveals plans for his London play and final movie.

Whether it’s a high-octane PlayStation commercial or a long-awaited final movie, the name “Tarantino” is once again making pop culture headlines. As Blackpink star Lisa channels cinematic action for a new PlayStation spot previewing her track “Tarantino,” the legendary director who inspired the title is offering fresh updates on his own highly anticipated final film and upcoming London stage play.
In the 50-second PlayStation clip, the K-pop phenom enters an elevator bound for Lisa’s fifth-floor penthouse. Before reaching her destination, she grabs a limited-edition DualSense wireless controller to step into four distinct gaming worlds: Marvel Wolverine, Kena: Scars of Kosmora, God of War: Laufey, and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls.
Soundtracking the clip is a preview of “Tarantino,” a track from her upcoming EP Press Play, due out October 23. “Got my nails really long like the barrel of my gun and my lipstick all over your face,” Lisa sings over a rolling beat. “I’m a boss, I’m a don when I’m driving to the sun. It’s a movie, baby, come and press play.”
The campaign extends her global PS5 partnership, which includes custom DualSense hardware designed with Lisa’s input arriving October 30 in limited quantities. Official merchandise—including apparel, tote bags, and hats—will also launch across Lisa’s official Amazon store and PlayStation’s online storefront.
Lisa’s homage to movie flair comes right as Tarantino himself clarifies his own career plans. Appearing on The Graham Norton Show, the revered director behind Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, and Once Upon A Time in Hollywood confirmed he has completed a script for his 10th and final feature film, though fans will have to wait for production to begin.
“I’ve written a script that I could do that I really, really like, but I have to do the play and see who I am, right?” Tarantino shared, referencing his upcoming West End play, The Popinjay Cavalier. “I’ll finish the play, and then I’ll go back, be with my family for a while, and then live and then see what that guy wants to do.”
Tarantino’s play is scheduled to begin previews on February 23, 2027, before officially opening on March 18, 2027. Despite past rumors connecting him to a Star Trek project or the scrapped The Movie Critic, Tarantino says he remains firm on retiring from feature filmmaking after his 10th movie.
Meanwhile, Lisa’s solo musical career is taking off. Following her debut solo album Alter Ego in 2025 (which peaked at November 7 on the Billboard 200) and her Press Play lead single “Sawadika,” her documentary Always Lalisa arrived in theaters earlier this month. She is next set to launch a Las Vegas residency on November 12 at Caesars Palace.
Credited under her full name, Lalisa Manobal, Lisa memorably starred on Season 3 of The White Lotus as Mook, a staff member working at the luxury Thailand resort. Watch her new PlayStation ad below.
