Aston Martin has taken the roof off its most extreme road car. The new Valhalla Spider is the brand’s first mid-engined open-cockpit production supercar, and with the same 1,064-horsepower plug-in hybrid powertrain as the coupe, it’s also the fastest open-top Aston Martin ever built. A 4.0-liter twin-turbo flat-plane-crank V8 does most of the work, backed by three electric motors. Top speed is electronically limited to 217 mph, and Aston says the Spider can hit that figure even with the roof panel removed. Developed alongside the brand’s F1-linked engineering arm, Aston Martin Performance Technologies, the Valhalla Spider makes its global debut this weekend at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas.

Removing the roof turns the Valhalla’s two-seat cabin into a true open-air cockpit. A standard fabric roof stows away when not needed, keeping weather protection close at hand.

A clip-in wind deflector keeps the cabin calm and feeds cooling air to a taller, reshaped snorkel. When not in use, it folds into new sill storage compartments. Aston says it improves comfort without sacrificing engine cooling.

A carbon fiber Touring Seat is now standard, designed for added comfort and easier entry. Buyers who want more support on track can keep the coupe’s sportier seat at no extra cost.

The dihedral doors are now frameless and open more smoothly. A slightly more curved glass edge also gives more headroom when climbing in with the roof fitted.

New 15-liter compartments in the sills hold the folded wind deflector. They also add a bit of practicality to a cabin with little room to spare.

The carbon tub was engineered to be stiff and light without compromising ergonomics. Four selectable drive modes let the driver shape the car’s character from behind the wheel.

The Spider’s roof system was designed to preserve the clean, flowing shape of the Valhalla Coupe. From most angles, it’s unmistakably the same car, just open to the sky.

A removable black fabric roof comes standard. Buyers can add a carbon fiber hard top for a sleeker, full-speed roof-on look.

A rain cover is included for protection when the car is parked. It’s meant for static use only, not for driving.

The roof-mounted engine snorkel has been reshaped specifically for the Spider. It now sits 35 mm taller to keep cooling air flowing with the roof off.
