On Sept. 27, All Elite Wrestling shared the unfortunate news that one of its own, Benjamin “Pac” Satterley, had unexpectedly passed away at the age of 40. Three weeks later, the wrestling world has now received concrete answers regarding his cause of death.
A spokesperson for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has revealed the former AEW World Trios Champion passed away from bronchial asthma, with his manner of death officially being ruled natural. The New York Post first reported this news.
Less than 24 hours before his death, Satterley had challenged fellow wrestler Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship at AEW All Out in Chicago’s NOW Arena. He was later found passed out in a vehicle outside of a restaurant, CAVA, in Des Plaines, Illinois around 4 pm local time on Sept. 27.
