Is there such a thing as having too many modded Mercedes-AMG G 63 SUVs? Well, not if you’re name is Mansory, as this tuner has dropped a large number of upgraded G-Wagens over the years, and quite a few of them in recent times.
Our previous encounter with one of these included the so-called Grand Entree, which is a G-Wagen in the AMG configuration with suicide rear doors, and a few other aftermarket goodies. And even if it may not be named the Grand Entree, the one pictured above has this mod, too, in addition to others, and it is one monstrous-looking machine with extra oomph.
It’s christened the Mansory P820 Linea D’Arabo, just like other similar takes on the Mercedes-AMG G 63 and not only, though this one is said to be a bespoke creation. It definitely looks like something that would come from Mansory’s portfolio, and if it weren’t for some upgrades, and the typical logos, one might actually mistake it for a Brabus. And that’s a compliment in this case, because this machine does not look kitschy at all, this writer thinks.
Some of the novelties on the outside include the fender flares with some sculpted elements on them for a more predatory look, the new hood with its vented design, the different front bumper that features new vents and claw-like extra daytime running lights on the sides, and the grille. The latter does not follow the typical Panamericana pattern, as it features a different look, and is decorated with the Mansory logo in the middle, an another Mansory emblem on the side.
Moreover, this Mercedes-AMG G 63 has extra panels on the front fenders, front and rear doors, and rear three-quarter panels, which make it loot a lot more muscular. The door mirror casings are new, from what we can tell, and there is a roof-mounted piece above the front windscreen with extra lights, and another one at the rear, which is a wing. We can also see some rear pillar attachments, as well as an entirely new bumper and a diffuser with multi fins and blades on the sides attached to it.
Besides these, the Mansory P820 Linea D’Arabo in question benefits from a custom spare wheel holder attached to the rear door, which also has an extra panel on the lower part, what seems to be an extra brake light in the middle of the diffuser, and another set of taillights below the OEM ones, mounted on each side of the new bumper. The wheels are also on the special side of things, and they do not look out of place at all, and the tailpipe trim is also new.
Inside, this Mercedes-AMG G 63 has a similar theme to the exterior. The upholstery is new, and so is the trim. The steering wheel has been partially wrapped in suede, and also sports forged carbon on it. We can see some black and gray details here and there, as well as Mansory’s backlit logo on the custom door cards and on other elements. Power running boards with illumination improve ingress and egress, and the rear doors have a suicide-style opening, as we already told you.
There is no starry sky headliner on deck, and that’s a compliment, by the way. The rear captain’s chairs are decorated with Mansory’s logo on the headrest cushions and on the seatbacks, and they are separated by a large center console that features a screen on it, and probably offers some extra storage. Pretty much everywhere you look, you can see something new, and the attention to detail is definitely worth mentioning.
The P820 in its name tells us that this machine has 820 metric horsepower. That’s 808 brake horsepower and 603 kilowatts, and it represents a very healthy jump over the standard powertrain, which kicks out 577 bhp (585 ps/430 kW), and is officially rated at 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. Mansory hasn’t said anything about the performance of this tuned Mercedes-AMG G 63, but with no outside intervention, the model hits 62 mph (100 kph )in 4.3 seconds, and reaches up to 149 mph (240 kph) with the optional AMG Driver’s Pack.
Due to the exposed carbon fiber components, widebody kit, new wheels, custom interior, performance enhancements, and other things, the Mansory P820 Linea D’Arabo pictured in the gallery above can easily stand out from the crowd, even in a sea of supercars, or other modified Mercedes-AMG G 63 SUVs. It’s unknown whether this ride is searching for a new home, if it was a special commission, or if it is a simple marketing tool for the time being, but rest assured, a lot of money has gone into it.
In fact, if it were listed for grabs, we wouldn’t be surprised to learn that it costs well over half a million bucks, and probably close to one million dollars. Would you ever get one of these if money were the least of your concerns?
