A pet groomer who usually works with dogs and cats was left stunned after taking on an unusual new client: a goat named Dill.
The YouTuber, who runs the channel Girl With The Dogs and another sister channel, documented the grooming session as she bathed, dried and brushed the animal, admitting she had little experience working with goats.
Vanessa, a professional pet groomer for 14 years and who has over 5 million subscribers between their two channels, grooms cats and dogs in exchange for clients donating to charity instead of paying her directly.
Goat turns out to be “calmest client”
At the beginning of the video, the groomer revealed that Dill’s owner had provided pool noodles to place over his horns in case he attempted to ram her.
Fortunately, the precautions proved unnecessary, with Dill remaining remarkably calm throughout his bath.
“So far, this is my calmest client. Who would have thunk it?” the content creator remarked.
Dill was already accustomed to being bathed and dried, according to his owner, which helped explain why he was so comfortable with the unfamiliar surroundings.
Even the high-velocity dryer failed to cause much trouble, prompting the groomer to question whether she should change careers.
“So, I might have to retire from grooming cats and dogs because this is the most well-behaved client I have ever had,” she joked.
The one exception was brushing. Dill wasn’t fond of having knots pulled from his coat, forcing the groomer to experiment with different brushes and eventually use the dryer to distract him.
Despite the difficulty, she described Dill as a “dream client” and encouraged other groomers in the local area to consider taking him on, having overheard that they were reluctant to accept him.
By the end of the session, Dill had been cleaned, dried and given a bandana, with the groomer declaring it one of her favorite grooming experiences.
