Cyndi Lauper, Darren Criss and More Stars Help Raise Millions for Pets in Need

Some of Broadway and Hollywood’s biggest names are coming together for a cause that extends well beyond the stage.

Cyndi Lauper, Darren Criss, Ariana DeBose and Bernadette Peters were among the stars involved in the second annual Fetch Pet Gala, which raised more than $750,000 for charitable initiatives supporting pets and people in need.

Held October 19 at The Carlyle in New York City, the event featured performances from Peters, Criss and DeBose, along with a surprise appearance by Lauper. The evening brought the gala’s two-year fundraising total to more than $1.2 million.

The inaugural celebration in 2025 featured Sutton Foster, Leslie Odom Jr. and Peters, as well as a surprise after-party performance by John Legend.

The gala is part of a larger philanthropic effort by Fetch Pet Insurance, which says it has raised more than $20 million for charitable organizations and initiatives under the leadership of President and CEO Paul Guyardo.

Fetch has supported more than 70 shelter and rescue partners across North America, while its Shelter Heroes initiative has raised more than $17 million.

The company’s charitable efforts extend beyond its annual gala, bringing together entertainers, designers, corporate partners and nonprofit organizations to support animal welfare.

Turning Fashion Into Philanthropy

With Giving Tuesday approaching on December 1, Fetch is also offering animal lovers a way to give back through its Scarfs for Arfs initiative.

The campaign features a limited-edition, American-made silk scarf that donors can receive with a contribution of $100 or more to North Shore Animal League America, an animal rescue and adoption organization.

Made from 100% silk, the scarf can be worn around the neck, tied to a handbag or styled as a bandana for a pet, combining fashion with a charitable purpose.

According to Fetch, 100% of the proceeds benefit North Shore Animal League America’s rescue, nurturing, adoption and education efforts. The organization has helped save more than 1.2 million animals to date.

The initiative offers an alternative to traditional holiday gifting, allowing supporters to contribute to animal welfare while receiving a wearable reminder of the cause.

For Fetch, the campaign reflects a broader approach to philanthropy that extends beyond celebrity-filled fundraising events.

Under Guyardo’s leadership, the company has continued to develop partnerships that connect the entertainment and fashion industries with charitable organizations, using its platform to raise awareness and funding for pets and families in need.

From Broadway performances at The Carlyle to a silk scarf supporting animal rescue, Fetch’s initiatives demonstrate how different industries can come together around a shared mission.

And with the holiday giving season approaching, the company’s latest campaign offers pet lovers another opportunity to make a difference.
