Why We Love This Deal
Cordless tools are only as good as the batteries powering them, and nobody knows that better than a contractor or DIYer who’s watched a 3Ah pack die halfway through a cut. That’s why so many professionals and amateur builders trust DeWalt’s 20V Max platform. The 20V series includes a plethora of high-capacity battery packs, including this two-pack of DeWalt 20V Max batteries, now selling for almost 60% off.
Usually priced at $249, the DeWalt 20V 5Ah Battery 2-Pack is down to $106 during the sale. It’s a monumental deal for one of the most popular DeWalt battery sets. Based on our knowledge of this two-pack’s pricing history, you won’t find it for less than this—as long as we’ve been tracking it, the price has primarily hovered between $116 and $130, so we’d recommend getting a set while the price is still low.

What Shoppers Should Know
- Capacity: 5Ah
- Weight: 1.4 pounds per battery
- Fuel Gauge: Integrated LED
- Compatibility: Works with all DeWalt 20V Max tools and chargers
- Best For: Contractors, DIYers, those in the DeWalt ecosystem
The 5Ah rating here is what separates this from a basic battery swap. Entry-level 20V Max packs that are usually included with tools are of the 1.5Ah variety. They should be workable for light tasks, but high-draw tools like circular saws and angle grinders will chew through them fast. The 5Ah handles extended cuts without constant rotation back to the charger, and with each battery weighing 1.4 pounds, they’re lighter than the capacity suggests.
Lowe’s and Home Depot are both carrying this exact pack at full price, making Walmart’s $106 sale price a straight-up steal, and there isn’t even a code you have to track down. If you’re already running DeWalt tools, it’s hard to pass up, and if you’re just getting started with cordless, buying in at the 5Ah level means you don’t have to upgrade in six months.

What Users Are Saying
One helpful shopper (who owns multiple DeWalt tools and tested these batteries on them) wrote, “These batteries are the perfect balance between weight and runtime for nearly all the 20V hand tool lineup.” A second shopper wrote, “You have two of these batteries, and you’re set for a whole work day using multiple tools.”
Another reviewer said, “This battery just goes and goes. I work up in a bucket or gaff up poles, so having the ability to verify the battery’s remaining charge saves me from getting stuck in the air with a dead tool.”
The DeWalt 20V 5Ah Battery 2-Pack is available now for $106. Since this is a temporary deal, as most of them are at Walmart, the set will likely go back up after the Oct. 11 end date, so grab it while it’s still on sale.
