Iconic ’90s Rock Star Forced to Leave Tour Immediately Over Urgent Health Issue

During the 1990s, there were several rock bands that had hits which have since faded into near-complete obscurity. On the other hand, The Offspring have remained successful thanks to building an unusually strong connection with music fans around the world. That makes the news that the band’s guitarist and backing vocalist has suddenly had to stop touring over a “fairly serious health issue” deeply upsetting.

Why The Offspring’s Noodles Abruptly Exited the Band’s Ongoing Tour

Since The Offspring rose to international fame in the early ’90s, Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman has served as the band’s lead guitarist and backing vocalist. In that role, he hit the road with his longtime bandmates after the group’s SUPERCHARGED World Tour was announced by Live Nation in October 2025. Sadly, however, he has just revealed that he has been forced to immediately exit the tour for a heartbreaking reason.

On October 21, 2026, The Offspring’s X account posted an announcement directly from Noodles to the band’s fans. In it, he revealed that he was forced to leave the tour to deal with an unexpected and “fairly serious” health issue. He also noted that he has the full support of his bandmates as they continue the tour in his absence. That lineup includes lead singer Dexter Holland, bassist Todd Morse, multi-instrumentalist Jonah Nimoy, and drummer Brandon Pertzborn.

“It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that I need to step away from live performances for a while to deal with a sudden and fairly serious health issue. The rest of the band has my back, is super supportive, and will keep rocking you all in my absence. I hope to be back on stage sooner rather than later. Until then, I will miss all of you with all of my heart. Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. I really appreciate it.”

As a member of The Offspring, Noodles has played a pivotal role in the recording of several songs that became massive hits. Some of the group’s iconic songs include “You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy),” “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem,” and “The Kids Aren’t Alright.” Additionally, his stage energy has contributed to The Offspring’s reputation as a fun-loving, high-octane group whose music brings joy while still delivering meaningful messages.
