James Bond Fans Think Callum Turner Just Dropped a Major Clue About the 007 Role

Last week, Callum Turner, Josh O’Connor, and Jack Lowden were named as three actors reportedly undergoing screen tests for Amazon MGM’s upcoming James Bond film — but some fans believe Turner may have already clinched the role of 007.

Recently, luxury designer Louis Vuitton has launched a new luggage campaign with Turner, with a series of photos unveiled this month on LV’s social media channels. The actor has been an ambassador for the brand since 2024, but this new campaign, paired with Vuitton’s decades-long relationship with Bond, has got some fans of the fictional super-spy convinced that Turner has all but officially bagged the casting.

“Louis Vuitton is exactly the kind of fashion house Callum wants to associate himself with,” an anonymous source told The Sun, which was the first to report on the collaboration, pointing to a potential Bond casting.

“The fact that Ian Fleming also mentioned Vuitton in his books is a clear indication that Callum is aligning himself with all the right campaigns.”

Louis Vuitton was first mentioned in the Bond universe by author Ian Fleming when Vuitton’s luggage was detailed in the 1963 book On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, the tenth novel in Fleming’s original James Bond series, later appearing in the 1985 Bond film A View to Kill. Perhaps the most iconic Bond actor of all, Sir Sean Connery, also appeared in a “Core Values” 2008 campaign for the designer, photographed by Annie Leibovitz.

According to The Sun’s report on Turner’s connection to Vuitton, the actor, who is married to pop superstar Dua Lipa, sits at 2/1 odds of being cast as Bond. O’Connor, best known for his role as the then-Prince Charles in The Crown, has odds of 12/1.

It is Scottish actor and Slow Horses star Lowden who is the bookmaker’s favorite, however, with odds of 4/7 for taking over from Daniel Craig, who bowed out of the role after the 2021 film No Time to Die.
