JetBlue Is Launching a New First-Class Cabin With Fares Starting at $249

JetBlue is providing travelers with another reason to upgrade their flights. The airline’s new domestic first-class cabin, BlueFirst, is now available for booking on select routes, with introductory one-way fares starting at $249. Service begins December 8, 2026, with flights from Boston to Fort Lauderdale, before expanding to more destinations in the coming months.

BlueFirst is designed to be more comfortable than JetBlue’s regular economy seating, but not a replacement for its premium Mint business-class product. It will roll out the new cabin on planes without Mint, extending a premium product to more domestic and international routes.

What Do You Get With JetBlue BlueFirst?

BlueFirst would have specially designed seats with Tuft & Needle foam, five inches of recline, and up to seven inches more legroom than JetBlue’s standard Main seats. Each seat is also equipped with a 13.3-inch entertainment screen with Bluetooth capability to connect compatible headphones.

Food and drinks are part of the upgrade, too. Passengers flying on routes of at least 899 miles will receive a meal, including an entrée, side dish, and dessert. Every BlueFirst flight will serve premium snacks, sommelier-selected wines, specialty coffee and premium teas. Passengers can order food and make their own cocktails from the ingredients available on the seatback screen.

The cabin has a 2-2 seating configuration, which means there are two seats on either side of the aisle. Travelers will also enjoy Group 1 boarding, dedicated overhead bin space, priority check-in, and priority baggage benefits. We have over 30 airports where you can get expedited security access.

Which Routes Are Getting BlueFirst?

The first BlueFirst flights will link Boston and Fort Lauderdale on December 8. Service between Fort Lauderdale and New York’s LaGuardia Airport will follow on December 12. Additional routes are in development through April 2027, including Boston to Orlando, Denver and Tampa, and New York to Cancún and San Juan.

For a limited time, JetBlue has introductory fares on select routes. One-way fares between New York’s LaGuardia Airport and Fort Lauderdale start at $249, while fares between Boston–Fort Lauderdale and New York JFK–Liberia, Costa Rica start at $299. These promotional fares have booking deadlines and travel restrictions. Availability is limited.

Travelers may choose from three BlueFirst fare options. The standard option allows for two checked bags and free advance seat selection. BlueFirst Flex also provides refunds to the original form of payment for cancelations made before departure for eligible tickets. BlueFirst Base is a cheaper option with fewer included benefits and fees for changes or cancelations.

You can book BlueFirst on JetBlue’s website. Flight details may vary. Prices, routes, and aircraft assignments are subject to change. Travelers should verify the details of their flight prior to booking.
