Nike’s Doernbecher Freestyle 22 collection introduces six new sneakers designed by patients at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. I’ve always loved this collaboration and its mission. I bought the Freestyle 21 cardigan and recently picked up a Doernbecher Air Force 1. This latest collection gives me six more reasons to appreciate what Nike and these talented kids create together.

Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 22 Release Date and Where to Buy
The collection debuted October 16 at a charity auction at the Portland Art Museum. Nike says all six pairs hit SNKRS and select U.S. retailers this winter, with January 2027 the reported target. Prices, sizing and exact dates are TBA.
Every pair does some good, too. Doernbecher Freestyle has raised more than $44 million since 2004, and 100% of profits go to the hospital.
Meet the Kids Behind Nike’s 2026 Doernbecher Sneakers

Should You Buy Nike’s 2026 Doernbecher Collection?
Absolutely. As a longtime Jordan 11 collector, Avery’s Low IE is my first choice, although Owen’s Air Max 1/97 might be the collection’s biggest visual standout.
I’ve supported Doernbecher through previous purchases, and I’d gladly add another pair at retail once pricing is announced. The designs are impressive, but supporting these kids and their hospital makes this collection worth pursuing.
