Snoop Dogg Keeps Parfums de Marly Delina in His Bag

I already knew Snoop Dogg had taste, but discovering that he carries one of my favorite perfumes made me love him even more.

At the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, the rapper opened his tote for Vogue’s “In the Bag” series. His collection included red wine, Rap Snacks, Biscoff cookies, an Xbox controller, and an iPad. It was chaotic, practical, and perfectly Snoop.

Then he pulled out the unmistakable pink bottle of Parfums de Marly Delina.

“This is some smell good,” Snoop said while holding the fragrance. He called it a “great unisex French cologne slash perfume” before spraying it on the interviewer, who immediately loved it. Of course she did.

As someone who swears by Delina, I felt validated. The rapper understands what fragrance lovers already know: Delina smells expensive, memorable, and just a little dramatic.

Delina opens with bergamot, lychee, and tart rhubarb before revealing a heart of Damascena rose and nutmeg. Cashmeran, musk, and vetiver create a warm, woody base that keeps the fragrance from smelling like a simple bouquet.

Although Delina is often marketed toward women, Snoop’s pick shows why gender labels shouldn’t dictate what anyone wears. If you like the way something smells, wear it. Fragrance is personal, and confidence will always make a scent more attractive than following an arbitrary rule at a beauty counter.

What I loved most about the moment was that Snoop didn’t overexplain, defend carrying a pink bottle, or give a speech about challenging gender norms. He knew it smelled good and kept it in his bag.

That is exactly the energy fragrance should have.

Snoop’s full tote extended his personality. He estimated that he owns somewhere between 500 and 1,000 bags, and his Olympic selection mixed technology, snacks, drinks, and personal comforts.

Still, Delina was the item that stayed with me. Maybe I am biased because it is one of my favorite fragrances, but watching Snoop pull it from his bag felt like receiving an endorsement from the coolest person in the room.

He has excellent taste, and I won’t debate it.
