The holiday season will be here before you know it. You’ve probably already seen advertisements for gift ideas from local stores and big retailers alike.
Target is officially in the holiday mode. On Wednesday, the company announced a number of new plans for the upcoming months, including the release of more than 8,000 new gifts, with more than half of those additions exclusively available only at Target.
“This holiday season, guests will see and feel the changes we’ve been making across Target, bringing together the style, design and value they expect from us with an experience that makes shopping easier and more inspiring,” said Target CEO Michael Fiddelke. “We know guests turn to Target for gifting, gathering and everything in between, and our team is ready to help busy families discover more joy in those moments throughout the season.”
Over 4,000 new Target-exclusive gifts–at low prices
Part of Target’s holiday plan involves “luxe-for-less” gifting, with affordable items across a number of categories: pajamas, cashmere and faux fur, to name some, along with toys from LEGO, Nintendo, Barbie and others.
Shoppers can find new and exclusive gifts from “prestige, emerging and global beauty brands” at Target Beauty Studio, as well as holiday sweets from Good & Gather, Baked by Melissa, Favorite Day and more.
An assist from AI
Target is also launching Ask Target, an AI-powered shopping assistant available both at Target.com and the Target app.
Ask Target will provide users with gift ideas and choices, and is the latest in the company’s foray into the world of AI.
