Tate McRae didn’t just perform at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She walked the runway alongside Gigi Hadid before receiving her own pair of translucent red Angel wings and taking a solo strut down the catwalk.
The Canadian pop star took the stage on October 18 in Los Angeles, delivering the first live performance of her new single “Housewife,” alongside “Dear God” and “Sports Car.” The extended three-song set combined the high-energy choreography McRae has become known for with the glamour of one of fashion’s most recognizable runway events.
Dressed in a red lingerie-inspired ensemble, McRae began her performance surrounded by backup dancers, launching into an elaborate routine that made full use of the runway. Her look complemented the show’s signature lingerie aesthetic, while the choreography brought the athleticism and theatrical staging of her concerts to the Victoria’s Secret stage.
The performance also marked a milestone for “Housewife,” giving the newly released track its live debut just days after its arrival.
Rather than limiting her appearance to a single song, McRae continued with “Dear God” and “Sports Car,” delivering an extended showcase of both her vocals and dance abilities.
But one of the most memorable moments came toward the end of her appearance.
Gigi Hadid emerged alongside McRae, and the two walked side by side down the runway, bringing together one of pop music’s biggest stars and one of Victoria’s Secret’s most recognizable models.
Then McRae got her own Angel moment.
After performing without wings to accommodate her dance-heavy choreography, the singer was outfitted with a pair of oversized, sheer red wings, transforming her lingerie-inspired stage look into a full Victoria’s Secret runway ensemble.
With her new wings in place, McRae took another walk down the catwalk, this time on her own, embracing the show’s signature runway strut.
Hadid has been a familiar face on the Victoria’s Secret runway since making her debut in 2015, returning for multiple editions of the show over the years. Her appearance alongside McRae added another fashion moment to a performance that already blurred the line between a pop concert and a runway presentation.
The 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show marked the brand’s return to Los Angeles following its revival in 2024. This year’s musical lineup also included Megan Thee Stallion, Megan Moroney and KATSEYE, continuing the show’s tradition of pairing major musical acts with its runway presentations.
For McRae, whose performances have increasingly combined athletic choreography, fashion and theatrical staging, the Victoria’s Secret runway provided a fitting setting for her latest musical release.
