Dive watches are designed to be read underwater, even with a mask and/or turgid saltwater in the way. The Stuhrling Depthmaster Heritage Men’s Swiss Quartz Dive Watch is on sale for $119 at Macy’s, 80% off its normal $595 price tag. This deal is only good on the version of this watch with a black dial and red accents, the one we’d argue is the sharpest of them all.
This watch has a black dial with a date dial at the 3 o’clock position, white number markings, and red accents, namely on a ring around the dial, axes through the center, and the second hand. The unidirection, coin-edge dive bezel has oversized numbers on the 10 positions, large marks halfway between them, and smaller ones for every number on the upper right quadrant. Everything lives inside a 44mm case — big but not massive — that also hosts the Swiss-made Ronda 515 quartz movement and is attached to an overmolded silicone strap with a stainless steel interior core for strength and structure. It’s water resistant to 100 meters, so you can take it swimming but you also don’t have to worry about getting it wet while out in a rain storm or doing the dishes.
